Benefits of SAR Membership

Mr. Larry Parkes receives his membership papers from President Tomme

As a member of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), you can be an active participant in our local chapter meetings, which feature guest speakers and the fellowship of other patriots.

You can participate with our chapter's many other patriotic activities, including parades, historic reenactments, service to veterans, and recognizing our local Eagle Scouts, and outstanding public servants and public safety officers

You can help impact our young people through school visits and through scholarship programs, Junior ROTC Awards programs, and the SAR Essay, Oration and Poster Contests. All of these programs help focus the attention of youth on the achievements of our forefathers in creating our nation.

You will also receive four issues of The SAR Magazine; state and local chapter newsletters, access to SARtalk (on-line discussion group); opportunities to participate in state and district meetings, Trustee meetings, and the Annual Congress.

SAR Membership enables a person to record and preserve their family lineage, making it forever available to their descendants.  SAR can help you research your genealogy and find your connection to those who fought to create our country.

SAR also has a task force to preserve U.S. history. By joining SAR, you help preserve our American heritage and history.
