Historic Trails Award
Your Scout unit can visit trails and sites in Georgia associated with the Revolutionary War to qualify for either the BSA Historic Trail Award, a locally sponsored Historic Trail Award or the American Heritage Merit Badge after completing all requirements.
The Sons of the American Revolution can assist your program with living history demonstrations at your troop meeting and trail guides to help with historic interpretations. Your troop might also want to consider visiting these sites and support annually held commemoration ceremonies or other service projects with our organization. See an example Historic Trails outing by Troop 175 of Peachtree City, GA.
The Georgia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution developed with Georgia Travel a special brochure of revolutionary battlefields and events in Georgia titled "Major Georgia Battles in the American Revolution". Download your own copy.
